This is a beautiful scarf with a gorgeous design. It's long enough so that I can start trying out some of those scarf knots in the Gentlemen's Gazette videos.

The Best Silk-Wool Blended Scarves

  • Elegant Blend of 70% Plush Merino Wool & 30% Shimmering Silk
  • Made in Italy
  • Two-sided for Twice the Styling Potential
  • Designed to Keep You Warm
  • Sufficient Length for Proper Use
  • Measures 180 cm x 35 cm / 70" x 14"

Why the Dimensions Matter

The length and width of a scarf massively impact not only its look but also how well it functions as an insulator. Most men’s scarves on the market today are 150 cm x 35 cm, or 60” x 12.” This sizing was selected only to save money on costly resources, and as such, it is too short to provide sufficient warmth or protection from the elements.

We extensively researched and tested various scarf lengths to find the perfect dimensions. We found that traditional Scottish scarves were 180 cm x 35 cm, or 72” x 14,” and while the length was ideal, the width felt too stuffy and constricting. Therefore, we settled on the perfect format of 180 cm x 35 cm, or 72” x 14” for all of our silk-wool scarves: these dimensions provided the perfect union of warmth, coverage, convenience, and styling potential.

Wool Silk Scarf in Brown Purple Blue Green Yellow Large Paisley Round Micropattern

Burnt Orange Brilliance

This reversible scarf offers unparalleled versatility, featuring an intricate silk wool pattern on one side and classic checks on the other. The fusion of burnt orange, red, and blue creates a dynamic color palette that effortlessly transitions from bold to understated with a simple flip.

Its warm tones evoke autumn richness, while the cool blue adds a refreshing contrast, making it suitable for year-round wear.

To maximize this scarf's styling potential, consider these pairings:

Pair the scarf with neutral tones like black, white, gray, or beige for a sophisticated and refined look. The muted backdrop allows the scarf's patterns and colors to take center stage.

Complement the burnt orange with olive green, camel, or chocolate brown clothing. This earthy palette exudes natural elegance and versatility.

For a striking effect, combine with denim or light blue garments. This pairing highlights the scarf's blue elements and creates a fresh, modern aesthetic.

Don't shy away from pairing the scarf with subtly patterned pieces. Pinstripes or herringbone in neutral tones can add depth to your outfit without overwhelming the scarf's design.

Care

Washing

You should only hand-wash this scarf.

Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a mild detergent that's suitable for wool and silk fabrics; most liquid detergents labeled for dedicates will suffice.

Submerge the scarf and gently agitate the water with your hands to distribute the soap.

Avoid rubbing or twisting the fabric, as this can damage the fibers.

Rinse thoroughly by draining the soapy water and rinsing the scarf in clean, lukewarm water until all soap residue is removed. You may need to change the water several times to ensure all detergent is washed out.

Drying

Do not wring out the scarf. Instead, lay it flat on a clean, dry towel, roll up the towel and press down to absorb excess moisture.

Unroll the towel and repeat with another dry towel if necessary.

Lay the scarf flat on a fresh towel or drying rack away from direct heat and sunlight. Reshape the scarf to its original dimensions while it is still damp.

Allow it to air dry completely.

Ironing

If the scarf requires ironing, use a low heat setting and place a pressing cloth between the iron and the scarf to protect the delicate fibers.

Storage

Store your scarf in a cool, dry place.

Fold it neatly or roll it to prevent creases.

Avoid hanging your scarf for extended periods of time, which can stretch the fabric.

For long-term storage, keep it in a breathable cotton bag to protect it from dust and moths.
