The substantial heft is noteworthy. The fine detailing in the gold-plated claws is beautiful. And the deep Prussian blue balls of lapis lazuli, with their minute flecks of gold-color pyrite, are almost iridescent. The semi-precious stones that decorate these cufflinks are the first thing that people notice, and for good reason: each stone is sourced from reputable dealers and undergoes a rigorous quality control regiment to ensure that only the finest stones make their way into the final product. To ensure their durability, the bodies of these cufflinks have been cast from 925 sterling silver. While we considered making these cufflinks out of solid gold or platinum, we recognized that this would be cost prohibitive for many of our loyal customers. Therefore, we decided to utilize sterling silver for the bodies and then thickly plate each stud in a precious metal.

With a plating of 5 to 6 microns in thickness, these cufflinks look and wear exactly like examples crafted from solid gold or platinum, but at a fraction of the cost. The ethereal glint of shimmering platinum or the vibrant shine of gold marks these cufflinks as unique pieces of art that you will proudly pass on to your children.

These cufflinks are sized according to the refined and understated conventions of the Golden Age of Menswear and were rigorously tested with shirts with cuff buttonholes ranging from 13 to 19 mm, or .5” to .75,” to ensure an elegant position and a secure hold.

These cufflinks are designed to be worn with a double, or French, cuff. Traditionally, you should endeavor to match the other metals in your outfit, such as a wristwatch, belt buckle, collar jewelry, or rings, with the metal of your cufflinks.

These eagle claw cufflinks were inspired by the vintage masterpieces created by Jean Michel Schlumberger, who famously designed men’s cufflinks for Tiffany & Company. With that same dedication to craft, and a desire to emulate the elegant and timeless motif of the eagle, we designed and made our own cufflinks. At every stage of production, from the carving of the design, the casting of the metal, and the setting of the semi-precious stone ball, the work is done by hand.
