Fort Belvedere is proud to offer a range of different materials in silk, wool, or blends thereof. And while other pocket squares have their hems finished by machines, all of our pocket squares are meticulously hand-rolled, with the embroidery work done by hand.

Most significantly, nearly all other pocket squares are too small because they are simply cut to get the biggest yield from the piece of fabric it is made off. At Fort Belvedere we determine the
size of each square by the specific fabric used so you end up with the perfectly sized pocket square that will neither disappear in your chest pocket nor create any bulk.

A pocket square cannot improve your look if it vanishes into your pocket or spoils the lines of your jacket, after all!

Pocket squares are one of the simplest ways to effortlessly elevate your look. With a simple fold, you can add a debonair detail to your appearance in a few seconds. Among the wide array of pocket squares available to you, few are more practical and versatile than a plain white pocket square in fine linen. Effortlessly elegant and timelessly charming, the white linen pocket square is just as at home in the breast pocket of a sport coat as it is in a business suit, tuxedo jacket, or morning coat. Whatever the occasion, be it a job interview, a wedding or a garden party, an understated white linen pocket square is an excellent option. That is why we say without hesitation that, if you had to choose only one pocket square, it should be a solid white one made of pure linen with hand-rolled edges.

Pure Italian OR Irish Linen. Linen is a decadent and functional fabric that has been employed in menswear for millennia. Fort Belvedere sources linen from two mills, one in Ireland and one in
Italy. Irish linen is known for its excellent structure and solid drape, while Italian linen is generally softer and has a finer hand. All Fort Belvedere linen, however, is sufficiently crisp to hold folds
well and not collapse down into your pocket.

Ideal Linen Weave. After thoroughly testing every available type of linen weave, from coarse-woven to fine double-damask, we settled on this weave because it is ideally suited for
pocket squares, possessing an elegant drape that does not add unsightly bulk.

Perfectly Sized for Linen. Most pocket squares are sized to get the largest number of pocket squares per yard of fabric. By not considering the unique qualities of the material as related to weight and weave, however, these accessories cannot function well as pocket squares.

Most linen squares are 43 cm x 43cm, or 17" x 17," in size. While they may work as handkerchiefs in the back pocket of your trousers, they are too big for the chest pocket and make the pockets appear overstuffed and bulky. The second most popular
commercial size for linen pocket squares, 33 cm x 33 cm, or 13" x 13," is too small, allowing the pocket square to fall in on itself and disappear into your pocket over the course of the day.

By paying particular attention to the unique qualities of our linen, we were able to engineer a pocket square that functions perfectly. After extensive testing, we concluded that 35cm x 35 cm
or 13.75" x" 13.75" was the perfect size for our Italian linen pocket squares.

Meticulously Hand-Rolled with Contrast X-Stitching. All Fort Belvedere pocket squares are hand-rolled, but this pocket square is unique because it was meticulously hand-rolled with fine
x-stitching. Done entirely by hand by Italian craftsmen, this detailing necessitates even higher quality standards, because the contrast thread immediately highlights any imperfection or
asymmetry. As a result, this detailing doubles the amount of time spent crafting these pocket squares, because each stitch has to be done very carefully and accurately from both sides.
