There are so many purveyors of men's fashion accessories, so how do you know which products are true values both in quality and style? Gentleman's Gazette has taught me to discern both. As a man hampered by red/green color blindness, I have always played it safe by buying common but boring colors, patterns and textures. Now I can order from Fort Belvedere and be sure that I am adding sophisticated distinction to my wardrobe. I could never be really confident before, now I am. I am gratified that this handsome tie has already received compliments and inquiries as to where I got it. The wool used in Fort Belvedere’s knit ties are crafted on heritage machines that are over 70 years old, epitomizing the pinnacle of traditional craftsmanship.

Unlike the common round-knitted ties, Fort Belvedere's ties are meticulously flat-knitted—a process demanding the finesse of skilled artisans to create a superior product. Each tie is then hand-sewn down the center seam post-knitting, ensuring an elegant drape and enhanced durability.

To ensure the perfect form, the ties are individually set on wooden molds for several days, a classic technique that defines their distinguished silhouette.

Throughout every stage of creation, from spinning to the final sewing of tops and bottoms and attaching labels, quality inspectors diligently uphold the high standards synonymous with the Fort Belvedere name.

Cleaning

Do not attempt to wash this wool knit tie. If you notice a stain, spot clean it using the following procedure.

Gently blot any excess liquid from the stain with a soft, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can damage the wool.

Fill a small bowl with lukewarm water and add a few drops of mild detergent, like Woolite.

Dip a clean, white cloth into the soapy water and wring out excess moisture. Dab the stain gently with the damp cloth.

Moisten another clean cloth with plain lukewarm water and dab the tie to remove soap residue.

Pat the cleaned area with a dry cloth. Then, lay the tie flat on a towel to air dry completely.

Storage

To prevent heavy creasing, never store your neck wear tied or knotted.

Undo the knot and then roll the necktie up in a firm but not excessively tight coil.

Allow it to sit in the coil for about a day to relax wrinkles.

To prevent stretching, knit ties should be stored rolled or flat.
