Exquisite Leather
Only the finest external leather would do for this watch case, so we sourced our hides exclusively from English bulls. Unlike cow hides, which can become stretched or marred after giving birth, bull hides remain flawless. This ensures a higher yield of exceptional-quality leather that needs no artificial correction.
We then dispatched the hides to a heritage Italian tannery renowned for its dedication to fair labor practices, environmental protection, and the production of the finest open-pore leathers redolent with the excellence and luxury of genuine Old World standards.
The leather of this watch case has been lightly waxed. This means that most scratches and nicks can be gently buffed out, and any that remain will be subsumed into the leather's texture. Over time, as the oils and waxes naturally spread, these small imperfections will blend into the base color, creating a unique tonal variation. With each use, this watch case will become a personal masterpiece, reflecting your many journeys and years of travel and use.
Decadently Supple Suede
Suede is the ultimate material for lining a watch case. Its dense construction acts as a natural shock absorber, offering top-notch protection even when cut thin. The natural grip of suede keeps watches securely in place, preventing scratches and dings.
While many manufacturers avoid suede due to its cost, we at Fort Belvedere prioritize quality. We chose superior natural suede over cheaper synthetic alternatives like Alcantara because our clients deserve the best.
After extensive testing, we chose bullhide suede for its durability and natural grip. Other suede types were too soft and we found that they wore away very quickly with regular use, while the bullhide suede was supple and durable.
The bullhide suede also showed a remarkable innate ability to cling to the watches, helping to hold them securely in place even when the case was in motion.
The best watch case requires the best materials, and that is exactly what we have sourced for you!
