For instance, we originally considered lamb suede, but we found that it was too soft and wore down very quickly. Whenever possible, we prefer for our leather goods to have folded edges for the extra durability they impart. In order to affix our suede interior to the case, however, we had to forego that construction for this accessory. Instead, we instructed our skilled European craftsmen to carefully paint every edge to seal them against fraying that compromises the case’s longevity. This elegant edge painting also imparts a neat, uniform appearance.
