This wallet is designed in the timeless bifold configuration and features a lengthy main pocket, which is bisected by a full leather divider. This smart layout is exceptionally useful for separating different types of currency during international travel or for organizing receipts, tickets, and other small items apart from your cash. Each side of the wallet includes a section with four card slots, totaling eight places to neatly store and easily access credit cards, identification cards, and more. Moreover, there are extra storage areas behind these card panels, amplifying the overall capacity of the wallet.

Our mission in designing this wallet was to fuse the timeless elegance of a traditional bifold with an extraordinary slimness and optimal storage capability, all while using premier full-grain leather for enduring quality.

We have refined every aspect of our crafting process, including the precise thinning of leather at the seams to reduce bulk, along with a strategic selection of both external and internal materials. The redesigned central compartment is more streamlined, offering a thinner outline while preserving ample space.

This wallet boasts eight card slots and a dual-sectioned main compartment, ensuring it holds all your necessities while presenting a trim silhouette. In contrast to others who downsize card slots or use synthetic linings to slim their wallets, our innovative design approach achieves impressive slenderness without compromising on utility.

Please note that double stacking card slots can stretch the leather, potentially loosening the fit for a single card in future. This can be managed by consistently storing two cards in slots that have adapted to a double stack.

1. Quality Leather: This wallet is fashioned from unaltered full-grain leather, exclusively obtained from English bulls.

Why does this matter?

Cowhide from cows that have given birth may stretch and become deformed, which can change the appearance. On the other hand, leather derived from bulls remains untouched by such flaws, ensuring the material's original, genuine quality is preserved without depending on artificial modifications.

a. Artisanal Tannery: Our leather skins have been processed using our tanning methods at a historic Italian tannery with over a century of expertise. This renowned institution dedicates itself to producing top-tier open-pored leathers utilizing time-honored Italian craftsmanship while simultaneously placing a high value on sustainable practices, fair working conditions, and minimizing environmental impact.  

b. Stunning Tipped Grain Texture: Our Dumont leather features a stunning tipped grain effect, which creates the appearance of a heavily textured pebbled leather but with a soft, smooth feel. Unlike other leathers, in which this effect is achieved through machine embossing, our tipped grain effect is achieved naturally through milling during the tanning process. With no full topcoat covering, you are able to experience the leather itself directly with every touch. 

c. Becomes More Beautiful with Age: The leather used for this wallet, in a rich saddle brown hue, has a thin coating of wax. Consequently, any scratches and indentations will be noticeable until they are gently smoothed away. Over time, oils and waxes will reconstitute, absorbing the slight imperfections back into the foundational color and contributing to a distinctive spectrum of shades. With each passing moment and continual use, the wallet evolves into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, an accessory that uniquely narrates your personal journey.

d. Rich Saddle Brown Dye: This wallet boasts a luxurious saddle brown hue, achieved through our meticulous aniline-dyeing technique. The leather fully soaks up the dye in an extensive process spanning more than 12 hours, guaranteeing that the color stays vibrant and resists fading over time. As the carrier matures, the dye will enhance the leather's natural patina. Its cognac-toned redness makes this color selection exceptionally adaptable for any setting, be it laid-back or upscale.

e. Incredible Color Depth: Thanks to our dyeing process and proprietary waxes and oils applied to the leather, this saddle brown leather offers an unparalleled depth and “pull up” effect: when the leather is gently stretched, you can see the full range of colors and textures present within the leather. 

2. Ultra-slim Profile: Few things are uglier than the bulky square of an overly large wallet spoiling the lines and drape of your clothing. Every element of this wallet has been intentionally designed, executed, and tested to ensure a slim profile that won’t mar the beauty of your clothes. 

When fully loaded with one card in each slot, the thickness changes from just under 14 mm to 23 mm or from 0.55” to 0.90”

4. 2.5x More Leather than Other Wallets. Constructed with five layers of top-tier leather, with leather used even for the card slots, our wallet stands as a symbol of high-quality craftsmanship. Moving beyond the standard practice of using just a single layer of leather on the exterior, we opt for more substantial materials at increased costs – not for opulence, but from a dedication to superior quality. This all-leather construction enhances both toughness and visual appeal, offering a rich sheen that brings joy every time you reach for it.

Concerned it might be too bulky?

Don't worry. The leather has been carefully thinned out to remove any extra weight, maintaining a slim profile without compromising functionality.

5. Thinned Folded Edges: Ensuring the longevity of leather items hinges on the quality of edges, yet the majority of wallets on the market have edges that are simply sliced and then covered with paint or gloss. Such finishes inevitably wear away and split as time goes on. At Fort Belvedere, we adopt a more intricate process where wallet edges are carefully angled and tapered before being folded over and stitched. This technique not only yields edges with consistent thickness but also significantly diminishes edge wear. Consequently, the life span of our wallets with folded edges is generally double that of those with merely painted or polished edges. 

a. Folded External Edges. Both pieces of leather along the edges of the wallet have been carefully folded. Whereas our competitors may fold only one piece, if they fold their edges at all, we have folded both to ensure the neatess possible look and the most durable construction. 

b. Smoothed Corner Radius: Overly pointed edges on wallets catch on your clothes and become crumpled with use and age. Each exterior edge of this wallet has been rounded, ensuring smooth access and a subtle, organic appearance.

6. Elegant Contrast Stitching: The cream stitching on this wallet offers a distinguished burst of color set against the rich saddle brown backdrop. This contrast not only draws the eye but also showcases the exquisite craftsmanship, with each precise and delicate stitch meticulously presented. The skill involved is all the more remarkable considering that the artisans craft these stitches while only being able to view one side, necessitating heightened precision and expertise. Applied towards the final stages of production, this detail-oriented stitching process is carried out with the utmost caution; any error at this point would result in the entire wallet being discarded. 

7. Eight Card Slots hold up to Sixteen Cards: The dedicated slots of this wallet were designed to hold eight cards, but each slot can hold an additional card if desired. Be aware that the leather of that slot will conform to hold two cards and will become too loose to securely hold a single card if “double stacked” for a few days. That being said, we do not recommend double stacking, as it makes your wallet quite thick.

a. Folded Edges on Card Slots: Many wallets feature basic card slots simply sliced into the fabric, resulting in edges that fray or snag and degrade with time. However, our leather wallets feature carefully crafted, folded card slots for lasting use and an elegant appearance. An embossed horizontal line delicately highlights this detail of craftsmanship. The slots are strengthened with sturdy stitching to keep your cards securely in place, while still allowing for smooth removal after frequent use. 

8. Divided Central Pocket. This wallet features a main compartment that spans its entire length, perfect for holding cash, receipts, tickets, and assorted paper items. It is equipped with an all-leather divider, which effectively separates the space into two sections, enabling neat organization of your funds—perhaps by bill size or different currencies. Additionally, one side can be dedicated to cash storage while the other keeps miscellaneous papers in order. 

9. Quality Backing and Lining for Slimness and Ease of Use: We set out to create a wallet that would not only look stunning but also stand the test of time. Initially, our vision centered around an all-leather design, which unfortunately resulted in a bulkier product than we desired. To strike the perfect balance between elegance and functionality, we incorporated a high-quality moire lining to the back of the card holder panel and within its slots. This strategic decision allowed us to maintain the wallet’s robustness while greatly slimming down its silhouette.

This wallet utilizes a forest green moire-textured fabric made in Italy that provides a sophisticated contrast and enhances the leather's functionality. Earlier models made entirely from leather were noticeably thicker, without any added benefit in terms of strength. By choosing a viscose fabric instead, we've achieved a leaner profile while still preserving the wallet's structural integrity.

The chosen fabric not only allows for effortless card removal with its smooth surface but also plays a key role in sustaining the wallet's slender shape over time. We opted for this material because of its durability and its seamless blend with the leather, enabling us to create an impressively thin leather wallet.

Attention to detail is further manifested in the processing of the viscose fabric, which undergoes special treatment to avoid fraying when cut, ensuring lasting resilience and a polished look at the edges. The adhesives are carefully selected for their strong bonding with the leather, contributing to the wallet’s enduring quality and flawless finish.  

10. Tastefully Debossed: The name and crest of Fort Belvedere are debossed on the left inside panel of the wallet, discreetly identifying the maker of this fine product in a refined and unobtrusive way.

11. Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) Blocking: We have applied to this wallet’s exterior a special treatment to shield against RFID signals, which could potentially compromise your cards, leading to theft of funds or information. This protective measure is meticulously integrated between the leather and the outer moire layer, ensuring it doesn't detract from the wallet's aesthetic or tactile qualities.

12. Spared No Expense: This wallet boasts a robust construction comprising five layers of leather, resulting in a leather quantity approximately 2.5 times greater than that of our competitors. We've optimized the use of leather to ensure it remains sleek and functional.

In terms of dimensions, our priority was elegance and minimal pocket bulk. Unlike others who may size their products to optimize hide utilization, we tailor our product size solely to serve your best interests.

Extensively Tested: We subjected this wallet to over a year of extensive field testing and accelerated stress testing: every issue and fault has been identified through hands-on experimentation by our team and fully resolved.
