I ordered the Roberto Ugolini Sampler as soon as it was offered by Gentlemen's Gazette and was happy when all eight arrived. I took my time and tried a new fragrance every few days. My wife helped me greatly to find the one that was best for me and that she enjoyed on me. After narrowing down to two, Oxford and Derby, then doing a double-blind test, I settled on the one that worked best for me for day and evening. I picked Derby for its masculine, dramatic, uplifting and spiritual qualities. To me, it puts a happy spring in my step. It is the perfect accessory and as important as an elegant necktie or a fine fedora. I could not agree with Roberto Ugolini more as the Derby box clearly states "Fragranze Uniche in Santo Spirito." How Did Shoemaking Inspire a Line of Fragrances?

Roberto Ugolini, the man, is renowned for creating some of the most beautiful shoes available today, drawing upon the rich legacy and history of shoemaking and leather production in the Italian city of Florence. In addition to his professional interest in shoes, Ugolini also has a personal passion for fine perfume.

One of Ugolini’s many clients, Herbert Stricker, just happens to be one of the biggest names in the contemporary perfume industry. Building upon the same charm, beauty, and personality that defines shoemaking, the pair collaborated to produce a line of fragrances evocative of the craft of fine shoes, but able to be worn and enjoyed in a variety of circumstances.

From this most unlikely of sources came Robert Ugolini Fragrances, a rising star in the firmament of fine perfumes. Featuring ten scents, these fragrances draw inspiration from countless aspects of Ugolini’s life: his craft in shoemaking, his beloved city of Florence, and his incomparable and joyful approach to life. The Iconic Scent Anyone Can Wear

Although today heels are conventionally associated with ladies, White High Heel is actually a versatile fragrance that can be worn equally by men or women. Elegant and intoxicating, graceful and forceful, this scent experience is a study in contrasts that never loses its artfully delicate and subtle edge. How to Store Your Fragrance

To preserve the smell and quality of your fragrance for as long as possible, storing it in the right place in your home is key.

Even though it’s convenient, don’t store your fragrance in the bathroom, as the humidity and change in temperature when you shower can mess with its chemical makeup.

Ideally, colognes should be kept in a cool dry place, like your bedroom drawer or closet to maintain its quality. Avoid exposing it to sunlight as it also breaks down the fragrance’s chemicals and potency, and makes the fragrance expire sooner.

Fragrances Do Expire

The expiration date of your fragrance should be printed on the bottom of the bottle or the label. Some also list Period After Opening (PAO), which is the number of months the cologne is good for before it expires.

When handled properly, most fragrances will last for at least three years.

Avoid Decanting

Removing your fragrance its original bottle can adversely affect the wearing experience of the fragrance, because transferring the liquid exposes it to air and causes it to evaporate, which could also alter the potency and balance of the chemicals, upsetting the scent.
