Wool Silk Scarf in Brown, Purple, Blue, Green & Yellow Large Paisley & Round Micropattern
Reversible scarves, British also call them tubular scarves are one of the most elegant forms of warming one's neck. The combination of two distinctly different patterns, with harmonious colors, is simply stunning when it covers the V-opening of your overcoat or topcoat.
Unlike the Fort Belvedere scarves we offer with one side in silk and the other in wool, this purple, medium brown, green, blue, and mustard yellow scarf has the same soft, fabric which is a blend of 30% silk and 70% fine merino wool. On the one side, you can find huge flowery paisleys, whereas the opposite side features a classic smaller and larger circular micropatterns. The colors in this scarf sound bold on paper, but because of the muted interpretation, it never feels over the top. For most people this will not be their first scarf, simply because of the color scheme, but if you already have a few scarves, this is a special one that is different than anything else in your wardrobe. Because of the subdued color scheme it will pair well with any type of black, navy, blue, grey, brown, green, camel, or charcoal overcoat. No matter, what side you wear facing outward, rest assured you will stand out from the crowd, without looking too bold.
It can be worn with tweed, flannel, worsteds, cashmere for business, or more casually. If you want a scarf that is truly unique, without being too loud, this is the scarf for you.
Dimensions
We extensively tested various scarf sizes to find the right one for you. The most common scarf size is 150 cm x 30 cm/60" x 12", which is simply too short for most men, resulting in insufficient protection.
However, for this medium-thick, double-sided scarf, an extended length is desirable, because it provides more options to tie and wear the scarf. So we decided on 180 cm x 35 cm/72" x 14".
What makes this scarf special?
1. Merino & Silk Blend. Made from 70% finest merino wool and 30% silk this Fort Belvedere scarf features different patterns yet matching colors that let you stand out from the crowd. The material blend makes it very comfortable to wear on your skin, and the silk gives the scarf a special luster without being shiny.

2. Medium-weight for the fine gentleman. It will keep you warm without sacrificing style. This medium-weight scarf is intentionally medium-thin or thick and very refined, making it the perfect accouterment for fine business suits and elegant overcoats. At the same time, it also pairs well with worsteds, flannel or tweed.
3. One scarf - Two Patterns Flexibility. While one side is printed in classicly inspired, oversized flowery paisley pattern in medium brown, purple, blue, green and mustard yellow, the other one features circular diamond patterns in tow different sizes in blue, green, yellow, and brown on a purple background. Because of the outstanding color harmony of the two sides, you can combine this scarf with different outfits, and you can decide if you want to show just one pattern or both when you tie your scarf, thus giving you a maximum on flexibility.
Scarf storage
To ensure you can enjoy your reversible purple, medium brown, green, blue, and mustard yellow silk-wool scarf for many years to come, fold it or hang it; we find folding is the easiest, most convenient way. Don't leave it stuffed in a coat pocket, as that will lead to wrinkles. In case you encounter creases or wrinkles, simply use steam to relax the fibers and create a smooth surface again. You can also iron it on lower heat, ideally with a cotton cloth between the scarf and the iron to prevent the wool from becoming shiny.
Taking care of your scarf that way is less expensive, more convenient, and better for your scarf than having it dry-cleaned.
