4 Suits Poker Pocket Square with Embroidered Hearts, Spaces, Clubs Spades
Pocket squares are one of the easiest and quickest ways to improve the overall look of your outfit, but it all depends on the elegance, timelessness, and versatility of the pocket square: not
all are created equal! While most pocket squares are made from cheap synthetics in simple colors or garish designs.
Fort Belvedere is proud to offer a range of different materials in silk, wool, or blends thereof. And while other pocket squares have their hems finished by machines, all of our pocket squares are meticulously hand-rolled, with the embroidery work done by hand.
Most significantly, nearly all other pocket squares are too small because they are simply cut to get the biggest yield from the piece of fabric it is made off. At Fort Belvedere we determine the
size of each square by the specific fabric used so you end up with the perfectly sized pocket square that will neither disappear in your chest pocket nor create any bulk.
A pocket square cannot improve your look if it vanishes into your pocket or spoils the lines of your jacket, after all!
Few things in a men's wardrobe take less time to wear and have a bigger impact than a pocket square. With a quick fold, you can add a unique character to your appearance in a few seconds.
After mastering the plain white linen pocket square, you can expand your styling repertoire by adding a wider variety of colors.
To maximize color-pairing potential and compatibility, many solid pocket squares feature a decorative border of some kind.
Combining this style cue with superlative craftsmanship, Fort
Belvedere proudly offers a line of versatile pocket squares with hand-stitched x-detailing. Like all Fort Belvedere pocket squares, these edges are hand rolled, but adding the x-detailing doubles the already considerable amount of time required to execute this handiwork.
The results, however, represent a stunning touch that creates visual interest while highlighting the unique quality of this unsurpassed workmanship.
To highlight the x-detailing on this pocket square, it should be worn with a fold that emphasizes the edges of the accessory, such as a banker’s fold or a crown fold. To showcase the color of
the body of the pocket square instead, a puff fold should be employed.
By utilizing folding in this way, this pocket square effectively functions like two for the price of one. Consider matching the tone of your tie, bow tie, or socks with one of the contrast colors, or wear it with a white shirt.
Pure Italian OR Irish Linen. Linen is a decadent and functional fabric that has been employed in menswear for millennia. Fort Belvedere sources linen from two mills, one in Ireland and one in
Italy. Irish linen is known for its excellent structure and solid drape, while Italian linen is generally softer and has a finer hand. All Fort Belvedere linen, however, is sufficiently crisp to hold folds
well and not collapse down into your pocket.
Ideal Linen Weave. After thoroughly testing every available type of linen weave, from coarse-woven to fine double-damask, we settled on this weave because it is ideally suited for
pocket squares, possessing an elegant drape that does not add unsightly bulk.
Perfectly Sized for Linen. Most pocket squares are sized to get the largest number of pocket squares per yard of fabric. By not considering the unique qualities of the material as related to weight and weave, however, these accessories cannot function well as pocket squares.
Most linen squares are 43 cm x 43cm, or 17" x 17," in size. While they may work as handkerchiefs in the back pocket of your trousers, they are too big for the chest pocket and make the pockets appear overstuffed and bulky. The second most popular
commercial size for linen pocket squares, 33 cm x 33 cm, or 13" x 13," is too small, allowing the pocket square to fall in on itself and disappear into your pocket over the course of the day.
By paying particular attention to the unique qualities of our linen, we were able to engineer a pocket square that functions perfectly. After extensive testing, we concluded that 35cm x 35 cm
or 13.75" x" 13.75" was the perfect size for our Italian linen pocket squares.
Luck Be a Lady Tonight! In addition to its sophisticated hand-rolled edges, the corners of this pocket square have also been decorated with playing card motifs in black and red. While this classic design is suitable for any amusing occasion, we think it would be a particular hit during a gambling junket, poker night, or bachelor party: just think of how stylish you and your groom’s party would look with this accessory in your pockets! As part of our attention to detail, each embroidered card suit is perfectly centered, and unlike laid-on decals, the suits appear just as pleasing from both the obverse and reverse of the pocket square. As an added bonus, when worn in a bunched fold like a puff fold, this pocket square can double as a plain, formal white linen pocket square.
This pocket square is a true masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship that will elevate any outfit, whether it is your business suit or your casual spring-summer outfit.
Due to its white and pale pink look and white contrast stitching it pairs well with all shades that are darker.
Because of the subtle yet contrasting white x stitches, it is a winner with any spring-summer combination and summer fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk, or blends thereof. Due to its warm yet subtle tone, it can also be worn with tweed and fall-winter flannels or, of course, pink shirts.
Similar to the delicate pick stitching on a handmade suit, this pocket square truly highlights your commitment to quality and craftsmanship, and at the same time, it elevates your outfit to a new level because nobody else will have such a beautifully made pocket square.
Signature Green Gift Box.
This pocket square will arrive in one of our luxurious, well-made Fort Belvedere gift boxes. Featuring sturdy magnetic closures, this box is made in our iconic shade of forest green and displays the Fort Belvedere crest on the lid. While many gentlemen retain the box as the perfect way to store their pocket squares, it is also suitable as a superlative presentation gift box.
Linen pocket square maintenance
Because it is so lightweight, linen as a fabric is naturally very prone to wrinkling. To reduce unnecessary wrinkling, always remove your linen pocket square after wearing it. To remove wrinkles, use a garment steamer set to hot or iron, with a piece of cotton cloth between the linen and the iron. Lightly sprinkling the underside of the pocket square with water will help relax wrinkles more quickly. Be sure to only iron the center of the pocket square and do not run your iron over the edges, as it could ruin the effect of the hand-rolled edges by flattening them.
How to fold a pocket square?
Utilizing unique and interesting folds imparts greater versatility, as well as debonair elegance, to your pocket square. Ensuring that your folds appear natural and unaffected will not only look
more charming and nonchalant, but it will also be evident to others that you are not wearing a cheap, pre-folded pocket square.
To help you look the part of a timeless Classic gentleman, we created a video that details with simple instructions how you can fold eight of our favorite pocket square folds.
